I have to laugh, this is the third post on this site that brings me back to people I knew in college. I knew the girls who opened the bike store behind the vest guys, Mindy posted a book awhile back by a guy I knew in college and his brother that I still know, and about a week ago Mindy posted an article about another woman from the college era. How weird is that?

You got it ISKI ! They put that prototyp lift near the bottom of the Main Street run just for a demo. Knew you'd recognize the horizon there.

Nevebelle - Instead of the "it's a small world" , the saying "You can't escape your past" comes to mind. Which makes it worth our efforts to make it a good past !

NVG-those little midget trees are a giveaway for those of us who've skied there. Just trying to figure out which aspect the photo was taken from.
Admitting it, I am a pass hog. I have a pass there too.

Geez, to think I considered a 3rd pass this year.... so glad I refrained, that would be even more embarrassing.

I think I see beetle kill..which puts it in Colorado, Montana, Utah or Ne Mexico.

Man, I broke out the magnifying glass & I just can't see the beetle kill ! Those are fir trees right ? no beetles in firs are there ? Think I need a greater X magnification for this Mindy.

Haphazard, farsighted guess: Breckenridge? (Based on what's in distance and town below?) Link missed something, Mindy. Try to post it again. I've had this happen w/some of my photos also - not sure why this happens.

Black-----incredibly recent volcanic. So....where could one POSSIBLY ski on new volcanic? No way, this isn't Kilauea in Hawaii, is it? Dang, that's like 14,000 ft above sea level or thereabouts. IS THIS KILAUEA?

That looks like Colorado snow!

Hmmm....I'm guessing Vail (it looks a little like the Gore Range) or Telluride because of the HUGE mountains on the right..... Hmmmm.......It may be Breckenridge, too..... hmmmmm

Ok....final answer is Vail....I think the Peaks and Valley thing may be the decider. It looks a little like Pete's bowl......
