I'm hoping it's as good if not better than when we took a 6 year old to Steamboat over spring break one year

Wow. I think that trip is what clinched it for that child (now 26) in terms of life-long love of snow and sliding - I'm astounded by the amount of detail he recalls about the mountain. The section that is unofficially referred to as "Wally World" has the most wonderful assortment of kid-friendly glades I've ever seen, plus little-kid jumps (he also got his first INTENDED air at Steamboat).
Just an all-around wonderful experience, including the ski school.
