Four shakers and movers in the ski scene have decided to do something big to help others.

JP Auclair, Mike Hovey, Seth Koch and Chad Fleischer have formed Alpine Initiatives to give the snowsports community a way to get together and work on projects around the world that will have a positive impact on the less fortunate.

Their first project is to raise the funds and then in October to physically help complete the Amani Community Home for orphans in Kenya. Alpine Initiatives have teamed up with the well-established aid organization, International Peace Initiatives, a global network of individuals and organizations that works to overcome the devastation of disease, conflict and poverty. Alpine Initiatives has already stated that the Amani project in Kenya is just the beginning.
