Ouch. Hear ya. Not good up here, either. The mega-pow (eastern standard) from last weekend has been hit. We go from 0 to 40 and rain here in sometimes less than 12 hours. The snow does not like this
Second rain event due in here this aft. (since Tues) Heard Wed was boilerplate up here. Thursday/xmas was high winds and closed. Friday better. Today, down the tubes we go again. Rain this aft. I'm dizzy....
Definitely take those boards in for a tune! Makes a huge difference. Believe it or not, we work on our edges after every 3rd hardpack to ice day out there. That's how intense the ice is on steel. Happily, DH is an edge, base and wax fanatic

The season is way young, eastern skiers. Deep breath. Haven't even turned the calendar to '09 yet. Hopefully quite a few (good) months ahead!
